Ever since the OnePlus 7 Pro was launched, it was surrounded by lots of controversies with regards to its camera performance. Despite the company claiming extremely high scores from DxOMark, the camera performance didn’t seem to justify the scores to the critics. Later, OnePlus cleared out the controversy by rolling out the firmware that DxOMark used in its tests and that made a massive difference to performance.
However, the OnePlus 7 Pro’s camera is still quite restricted when compared to what other flagships in its price range can do. OnePlus also agrees and is working to make it more versatile than it is. The company confirmed in an interview to GSMArena that it is working to brings some improvements that the consumers have demanded through feedback.
The first one involves the Nightscape mode that has been there since the days of OnePlus 6T. The Nightscape mode got a substantial upgrade with the OnePlus 7 Pro and while it is not as good as Pixel’s Night Sight mode, it surely does an impressive job in the dark. Sadly, this mode is currently restricted to the primary camera mode and if you are using the ultra-wide mode or zoom mode, you can’t get the Nightscape mode’s benefits.
