Facebook appears to be working on launching a feature that we’re already accustomed with on Instagram – only that it works a little differently on Facebook.
Instagram recently introduced a feature which allows users to start group chats right by sharing an invite of sorts on ‘Stories’. Now, Facebook does have a Stories feature in place which is almost identical to how they are on Instagram. But as per reverse engineering expert Jane Manchung Wong, the social media giant appears to testing a similar Messenger group chat invite feature that people can share via a normal post.
Still confused? Well, ‘Chat Stickers’ on Instagram lets users invite their followers to join a group chat, pertaining to a particular topic. The feature also allows the poster to pick and choose as to who are allowed to join the chat. Once a person responds to the chat sticker, a request to join the chat is generated, letting the poster decide whether he/she should be allowed into the group chat.
