BSNL has launched a new plan for Rs 999, but not everyone can use it

At a time when the telecom companies are raising tariffs for prepaid and postpaid users across the country, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launnched a new plan that offers a long validity period to prepaid users in the country. The telecom giant has launched a new plan worth Rs 999 that comes with a validity of 220 days. It will be available to BSNL subscribers since December 1, 2019.

The new plan comes a daily limit of 250 minutes of voice calls per day and users can make unlimited voice calls to any network, including Delhi and Mumbai. It is worth noting that the newly introduced plan does not offer any data benefits, which means that users will have to subscribe to a separate pack to get the data benefits. That said, the pack does offer free personalised ringback tone (PRBT) for two month.

With a long validity period and voice call benefits, this newly introduced plans is ideal for those who use internet scarcely. But there is a catch. As of now, this new plan is available for BSNL users in Kerala only. In addition to that the Indian telecom giant has not confirmed if and when it plans to roll out the new Rs 999 plan to its other users across the country.

The new Rs 999 plan comes days after the telecom giant introduced new plans worth Rs 997 and Rs 365 in its Kerala circles. The plan worth Rs 997 comes with a validity of 180 days and it offers unlimited voice calls to any network including Delhi and Mumbai with a daily capping at 250 minutes per day, PRBT for two months, 100 SMSs per days along with unlimited data, the speed of which reduces to 80kbps after a user crosses the daily limit of 3GB data per day.Read More..
